Overview:
As an embedded QA for Lucid Games you’ll be a key part of the development team, working closely with all of our dev team both internally and externally to produce products we’re deeply proud of and make sure our players have the best experience possible.
We’re looking for someone to grow our testing efforts taking responsibility for the quality of our titles, working with the QA Manager and development team in implementing and executing solid test strategies; any prior software or gaming testing experience will be a strong asset to have.
What you’ll do:
Be accountable for testing on assigned projects, advocating for the highest quality of our games.
Should possess good problem solving, critical thinking, and time management.
Being proactive and comfortable in prioritising tasks, assessing risks and escalating issues to the QA Project Lead.
Review sprint work, and as a team, contribute to developing a QA strategy to deliver high quality builds on time.
Should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently.
Respond to the needs of the development team in a clear and timely manner.
Simultaneously manage structured tasks with impromptu requests.
Be comfortable with learning existing and new QA processes, as well as suggesting and implementing improvements.
Have strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
Job requirements
What we’re looking for from you:
Previous experience working in an embedded development team.
Proven experience of bug reporting workflow, and bug management.
Proven experience of successfully working toward deadlines.
A good understanding of game performance.
What can you expect during the Interview Process:
Our interview process typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on availability is made up of 2 stages:
1st stage (45 minutes) – An informal chat to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with members of our QA team and our Head of Talent. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
Final interview (30 minutes) – A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid! You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
